Arroyo Time Bank - check it out!

Hello!

Here's a great concept - a community time bank!

Some folks in our area are starting up a local time bank - the Arroyo Time Bank.

Please visit their website - www.arroyotimebank.org - to learn more about this great concept! Here's an excerpt from their home page:

Greetings!

It was simply wonderful seeing so many sustainability-minded neighbors at today's Altadena Heritage of Abundance event! Much appreciation goes out to Altadena Heritage (altadenaheritage.org) for coordinating and hosting such an informative and enjoyable event!

It was energizing to meet more people interested in our efforts and to receive so much positive feedback. Knowing you’re out there and excited about the prospect of a cooperative grocery store in our area is great motivation for the Founding Team as we keep moving forward in our research and planning!

Proposal: Membership Equity

One of the ways members help the co-op get started is by investing equity.

What can I do to help?

Greetings All,

Upcoming Meeting – let's make our co-op happen!

We were delighted by the enthusiastic turn-out at this past Wednesday’s social meeting at the Rancho Bar! We enjoyed getting to know more people who are interested in the formation of a cooperative grocery store in the Altadena area. We also appreciated the hospitality at the Rancho!

Seed Swap Name Survey Results

At the seed swap the other day we conducted an informal name survey - just to test the waters and to have an excuse to talk about the co-op [smile]. Below are the results and notes. People were asked to tell us whether they liked or disliked some possible names and to note any comments that came to mind. Below are the results. The counts vary for each name since not everyone voted for each one.

They’re listed in order of ranking, which is the count of “I like” votes minus the count of “I dislike” votes.
