Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to help us with getting the Co-op started. A lot of you have emailed us - so many that we were a little overwhelmed!
The Founding Team held a retreat last weekend to make plans for scaling up our operation. We’ve broken immediate tasks out into more or less distinct groups, assigned these groups to teams and found most of the team leaders from within our current ranks. See these updates at our Teams and Tasks page.
On Saturday November 21st, at 10:00am, we’re going to hold a volunteer orientation at the Altadena Community Center. Think of this as our job fair. At the beginning I’ll update you on our latest progress. Then the team leaders will make themselves available for one-on-one discussions. You’ll have the chance to talk with them, get a better understanding of the available tasks, let the team leader(s) know who you are and see if you can find something to start on.
The idea is to find a fun job that will be significant for us both.
We need skilled and unskilled hands; professionals and tradespeople; old dogs and newbies. Most important is a positive spirit and a commitment to complete a task, even a small one, when it needs to be done.
This is your chance to pull together with the rest of us to bring this wonderful community asset to life.
