Membership Team

The Membership Team meets once a month, typically on the second Sunday of each month.

The main goals of the Membership Team include increasing our membership and keeping member-owners informed and engaged. Within the Membership Team are three sub-teams: Marketing Team, Education Team, and Party Team. We are working together to increase community awareness of the Arroyo Food Co-op and bring in more member-owners.

Some of our current projects include:

• Planning social and educational events (e.g., Coffee Shop Hops, film screenings, workshops, etc.)

• Researching and generating marketing and promotional items

• Developing member-owner materials (e.g., membership cards; "First 500 Friends" certificates, etc.)

• Creating a "Member-to-Member" discount program

• Promoting the "House Party" concept

• Identifying opportunities for outreach (e.g., via tabling at local events (see our Google doc to sign up!), distributing flyers, making presentations, etc.) and coordinating Co-op representatives and volunteers to be present at these events
